Hooks and Ideas for Roleplay

The Raven of Falcon's Nest: Once an aspiring frontline engineer, turned into a trained long range sniper after the Calamity. Primus pushed the boundaries of combat yalm by yalm until she surpassed even the greatest of normal feats of her fellow Eorzean counterparts. The knights stationed at Falcon's Nest viewed her as a silent guardian or, delivering vengeance to the Dravanians for the remaining years of the war.Skysteel Forever: Primus has been working for the Manufactory for almost all of her life growing up. Getting her hands dirty and fixing anything that was broken with her fellow engineers. If it can't be done, she'll salvage it and repurpose it elsewhere. Due to her affinity with older tech, anyone in Skysteel would know or hear her as a more traditional engineer and is apprehensive with what new generations of gadgets are being made.Rising Bard, Traveling Noble: With the Dragonsong War over and in her search to find something to occupy her time, she moonlights as a bard, utilizing her skills for song and words to fill the void in her soul. While she says it is only a hobby, the amount of effort she puts on display during a performance can quite clearly show, that her passion for music surpasses more than just a hobby. The Sharp Eyed Watchman: During her time as a Hound, she watched the streets of the Brume and the Foundation with great vigilance during the reorganization of Ishgard's government. Moving from corner to corner, one roof to the next to keep her fellow Ishgardians safe from the chaos of change. While she wasn't a good social speaker at the time, she had earned some minor respect with the lowborn for her brief dedication to maintain the peace along with the Temple Knights and the rest of the Hounds.

Theme

House Velfor

Reborn under the wings of Viscount Primus Velfor, House Velfor has finally seen change since it's founding centuries ago. Where once stood a house of tradition, of keeping to the views of the old faith and the harsh treatment of the social classes and Dravanians and Heretics. A house that proved their belief through the shedding of blood on both their side and the enemies, Primus has taken the reins, having succeeded the succession power struggle between her and her eldest brother.
Since then, Primus has established the house and it's resources in aiding the lower social class, performing charity efforts for the Brumefolk, aiding the efforts in fixing the Foundation and other ways to ensure everyone in Ishgard can live peacefully.
The House's focus isn't solely on charity however. Supporting Skysteel Manufactory and Hilda's Hounds are their other priorities, to help progress the inventors, engineers, and commonfolk who gave Primus a home and the devotion to the lowborn when she had no other place to turn to.Still, due to the change in policy, the House has suffered a loss of staff members and knights under their service. With only the few remaining loyal ones to pick up the pieces and the other members who specifically work for Primus's remaining siblings. The Viscount will ever be looking for talent and those needing a place to call home, to give them purpose and lead them to help others as she has done for them.

The Makings of a Weapon, the Legacy of a War.

Trained as an engineer and a pilot, later to become deadly markswoman, Primus was a different kind of combatant compared to those she fought alongside with. Pushing the standard muskets and the first Machinist variants to their limits in combat effectiveness. For the longest time, she kept an excellent hit record around 175 yalms, although the killing power around that distance has drastically fallen, leaving only a few lesser dragon kills to her name. She took this into consideration and with the help of her fellow machinists, her rifle was created. Equipped with a unique telescopic device and created by the finest titanium, Primus became a more efficient markswoman afterwards, pushing the limits of the aetherotransformer to propel her shots further, faster and stronger. With the help of the scope, her reliable kill range was up to 400 yalms, but her longest range kill was 650 yalms. This feat however came at a cost with some burns, from the built up heat after expending so much kinetic force to achieve such a shot.
Nowadays, she'll most likely never land a shot like that ever again, most contracts landing her to more medium ranges, but her training sticks to her core. And when the enemy is out in the open, she'll be there, to claim their life.

Dravanian Inheritance

Ishgardian and Dravanian blood run deep in the Velfors, more so Primus who is a Raven in her family lineage. Almost attuned to the dragonblood within her, the Ishgardian's eyes aren't even what you expect from a Hyur but of a dragon hybrid mix of an unknown element. Allowing her to have one of the most perceptive eyes across the realm. Thus giving her an immense advantage to long range combat, which she quickly learned to understand and wields in her more back line style of engagements. However, any shift of distance can daze her vision as she needs a bit of time to adjust to those far closer than what she is looking.Apart from her visual changes, it is said that she is quicker to recover some injuries or even hardening and strengthening her limbs when her emotions get the better of her. However, no one has ever seen such changes personally to give it any weight....those who reported to others that is.

Companions

Mynia Satoryl

Mynia or Myn as Prim likes to call her, is one of if not, the closest companion she has in her life. A stalwart friend and the one who helped Primus thaw out her icey heart that was created and formed in the Dragonsong War, Prim sets her at a high standard and will do anything to ensure she is safe from any interior and exterior threats that will dare ruin the life they created together and with others."I maybe the fool, but this fool has made it this far with you. And I will continue on the long run, until time rips us apart."

Dawn Hawke

A mysterious swordswoman who first appeared in the late years of the Dragonsong War and saved Primus' life. Only tales of the snow white knight occasionally reached her ear after their farewells in the end of the war, but as time went on, those tales grew more frequent of a knight with great strength who tirelessly aided the people of Eorzea.
It was around this time however, Prim pushed away such tales from her head to focus on her life and while she dreamed of meeting the one who saved her life once more, she is wary if she changed since their fateful encounter in the Western Highlands all of those years ago.
"I've only known her for a short time, but I can tell the power she holds is not one someone should cross, or else the second chance of life will never come to for the poor sod."

Shiori Lainier

Shiori or Shi for short, is a great friend to Primus. A youngster with a fiery attitude, Primus wants to see her as the little sister she never had but in reality, she sees a younger version of herself. Sleepy yet headstrong with her ideals, there were times where Shi and Primus butted heads on their views on numerous matters, but not out of malice and make up afterword should the topic gets heaty.
Because of Primus' view of Shi, she fears the youngster will fall in the same road of despair as she once did and so she dedicated in tying up as many loose ends as she could to prevent any trouble from pulling Shiori into the line of fire because of the actions she had done.
"I swore to protect you from my world so you may not become like me, keep to your path...and never let go."

Ash Shino

A hard headed Miqo'te with an interesting drinking habit, Prim's thoughts on her are night and day, depending on her mood but she enjoys her company more often then not. While she does enjoy Ash's brawn, Primus occasionally hopes that Ash uses that engineering brain to act smart from time to time. But in the end with how she views the Miqo'te, might makes right with Ash."Stubborn and annoying as ever, but that's part of your charm, Ash."

Shas'shil Onfrai

Captain of an airship called The Hydra and high spirits aficionado, Shas'shil is a walking wonders that Primus enjoys being around. Even if at times, her hyper active self can be too much for the noble. While Primus isn't exactly fond of newer tech, she often holds her opinion back as she watches Shas perform her various studies and leans on her expertise in the more advanced forms of magitek.
She also likes to bully Shas from time to time, to cheer herself up and to hear the eventual counter attack from Shas. Pinching of the cheeks works well...occasional head ruffles too (Avoid when wearing hat or prepare for hat siege)
"I swear I'm going to pull these horns off if you keep teasing me!"

Niyra de Durendaire

The Ebony Dragoon, one whom Primus formerly called a comrade during the war. They didn't talk to each other much, due to Prim's quiet nature back then but she acknowledged her, regardless of who she is. Primus was tasked alongside Niyra for a short time until the tragedy in the Western Highlands, where after her recovery, she cut all attempts of conversation when she built her cold persona of the Raven. Even when Niyra wanted to meet her, Primus left her perch of Falcon's Nest to wander the Highlands on the basis of personal scouting missions.
It wasn't until years after the war that she was reunited with the dragoon, where they rekindled what comradery they had back in the day. Now she seeks if she can forge a new friendship with Niyra, one who never forgot about her, one who suffered just as much as she did.
"You never forgot us...our sacrifice...and so we will remember what we lost, together my friend. And we shall stand tall...for them."

Foster Arjerm

A Temple Knight Captain and an annoying one too, Primus seems to bump into him more often than she expects and often shows mild annoyance to the knight. But she mostly doesn't mean her harsh attitude as she respects Foster to the highest degree Primus can muster. It was he who brought her back into the fold in Ishgard and thus gave her a home once more to protect. They may probably argue with differing opinions or the weight of innumerable tasks to deal with but it is a sibling like love they share and certainly not that rumor that keeps blowing in the air that they were once a pair."Storming a heavily armed heretic camp on my own...and I called Foster an idiot..."
